Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam

Professor Lenka Rovná is a two-times holder of the title/grant Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam (between 2007-9 and 2011-3) established by the European Commission to award top professors in European Studies. The grant has enabled the department and professor Rovná to organise or participate in a number of workshops and conferences.

Professor Lenka Rovná was also listed among examples of successes of the Jean Monnet programme by the European Commission and was awarded a Jean Monnet Lifelong Learning bronze medal.

You can find detailed information about the activities of the Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam in the project reports of 2006/7, 2007/8 and 2008/9.

As part of the program, multi-disciplinary sessions called "table society Europe" are regularly organised with representatives from a range of different disciplines not only the social sciences. More about this activity you can find here.

In the framework of this Jean Monnet grant we also worked with the University of Gothenburg to organize the project "Rebuilding Europe".
